Susan Krinsky Of HealthSouth Sunrise Honored With National Rehabilitation Nursing Award

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Susan “Sue” Krinsky, RN, CRRN, a staff nurse at HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital in Sunrise, Fla., was recently awarded the 2013 Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) Staff Nurse Role Award. This prestigious award, which honors only one nurse in the whole nation, was presented at the ARN Annual Educational Conference held Oct. 2-5 in Charlotte, N.C.

The Staff Nurse Role Award recognizes outstanding practice by a rehabilitation nurse in a direct patient care role. Sue’s role at HealthSouth Sunrise is working in the day rehabilitation outpatient department with patients who have experienced traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular accidents or neurological disorders.

Sue has worked as a registered nurse for 46 years and has served 25 of those years as an employee of HealthSouth Sunrise. In 2010, she was the inaugural recipient of HealthSouth’s Outstanding Employee Achievement Award.
