MURRIETA, Calif., Jan. 9, 2020 – On Jan. 8, Birmingham, Ala.-based Encompass Health Corp. held a grand opening celebration for its new, freestanding rehabilitation hospital in Murrieta located at 35470 Whitewood Road. Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta is expecting to welcome its first patients in January 2020.
In addition to hospital tours and technology demonstrations, the grand opening included a ribbon cutting and presentation. Remarks were delivered by Perry Ebeltoft, Chief Executive Officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta; Dr. Nicole Hanrahan, Medical Director of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta, Murrieta Mayor Gene Wunderlich; and Mark Tarr, President & CEO of Encompass Health Corp.

Encompass Health Murrieta boasts 50 private patient rooms, two spacious therapy gyms with advanced technologies, an in-house pharmacy, courtyard, dining room and dayroom areas. The hospital’s focus is providing inpatient rehabilitation services and higher medical management for patients recovering from strokes and other neurological disorders, hip fractures, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions.
