As chief human resources officer, Tony Hernandez leads the human resources functions and recruitment initiatives for Encompass Health’s more than 36,000 employees. His nearly 30 years of human resources management experience helps the Company set the standard as an award-winning healthcare employer. Prior to joining Encompass Health, Hernandez served as executive vice president of human resources for Regions Financial Corporation. His experience also includes human resources leadership roles at PharMerica and Citigroup. Hernandez holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Virginia.
