Kelly Neal, MOT, OTR/L, C/NDT, CBIS, is an occupational therapist at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cincinnati at Norwood.
Kelly Neal obtained her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University in occupational science and her master of occupational therapy from EKU. Neal has seven years of experience in occupational therapy in neurological rehabilitation in inpatient rehabilitation facilities and skilled nursing facilities.
Neal started with Encompass Health in Miami and was able to receive a specialty certifications in Contemporary Practice Model Certificate Course in Management of Adults with Stroke and Brain Injury completed through the Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association (NDTA).
She transfered to Encompass Health of Cincinnati and received Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) through the Brain Injury Association of America. She is the center coordinator for clinical education for occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy students. She has been a clinical site mentor for clinical research partnership between Encompass Health and Xavier University’s occupational therapy program. She is currently enrolled in the Developing Future Leaders: Aspire to Supervisor program at Encompass Health. She is Clinical Specialist II: Neurological Rehabilitation on the Therapy Clinical Ladder.
Neal is an adjunct professor in the Northern Kentucky University for the inaugural doctor of occupational therapy program for neurological intervention and lab courses.
Her personal interests involve hiking and camping with her husband and daughter. She finds meaning in occupations when engaged with her hands including gardening, bread making and baking.
