Last updated:

John Taylor was released from the hospital recently after spending 96 days hospitalized with COVID-19. He was admitted to an acute care hospital in November 2021 with COVID-19 pneumonia and was subsequently put into a medically induced coma. Finally after months of recovery, he moved to Novant Health Rehabilitation Hospital for physical therapy. He was recently discharged from Novant Health and staff cheered him on as he left.

Dr. Sudeep Mehta with Novant Health said, “The great thing is that this is just one of many stories that we get to witness on a daily basis here in our inpatient rehabilitation center.. We get a lot of folks who are struggling with a lot of co-morbidities and a lot of diseases and this is all just an example of one of the many patients who made it through so much.”
