BIRMINGHAM, Ala. and SAVANNAH, Ga., April 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — HealthSouth Corporation (NYSE: HLS) and Memorial Health today began joint operations of Savannah Rehabilitation Hospital, a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The hospital provides comprehensive physical rehabilitation to patients who have experienced stroke, trauma, brain and orthopedic injuries or other major illnesses or injuries.
Savannah Rehabilitation Hospital is currently operating on Memorial University Medical Center’s campus at 4700 Waters Avenue in Savannah, Georgia. HealthSouth and Memorial Health began building a new 50-bed state-of-the-art physical rehabilitation hospital during the first quarter of 2015. The new hospital will be located at 6510 Seawright Drive in Savannah.
