Encompass Health recently celebrated its future hospital in Fitchburg, Wisconsin with a groundbreaking ceremony. The hospital will provide rehabilitation services for individuals recovering from major illnesses and injuries, including strokes and other neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions. The hospital will offer physical, occupational and speech therapies and 24-hour nursing care.
“We initially planned for 40 beds, but after having some discussions with leadership at St. Mary’s, we’re going to open the hospital with 56 beds because of the anticipated need,” said Troy Decker, President of Encompass Health’s Central Region.
The hospital is expected to begin serving patients in fall 2023. Learn more at WKOW: https://www.wkow.com/news/encompass-health-breaks-ground-on-new-rehab-facility/article_b9d07a48-2427-11ed-9652-2b5cb137507e.html
