Shawn Myers R.Ph., MBA, joined Encompass Health in January 2016 as national director of pharmacy operations. In August of 2022, Shawn was promoted to vice president of pharmacy and ancillary clinical services and assumed administrative support responsibility for respiratory therapy operations. In his current role, he works closely with other members of the home office team and regional and hospital leaders to support and advance the practices of pharmacy and respiratory therapy. Prior to joining Encompass Health, Myers served as division pharmacy director for HCA/HealthTrust in the West Florida Division.
Education/Training: Myers received a bachelor of science in Pharmacy and master’s in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He is a licensed pharmacist in the state of Florida.
Professional Associations/Affiliations: Myers is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and currently serves as chair of the Federation of American Hospitals (FAH) pharmacy subcommittee.
Personal Note: Myers lives in Florida with his wife Teresa and has two adult children in Florida and Georgia. He enjoys biking, hiking and online strategy games.
