Despite the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Jill Yates, chief nursing officer of Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Phenix City, Alabama, could not be more proud of her team’s adaptability, ingenuity and courage as frontline employees during these unprecedented times.
Yates is featured in Encompass Health’s Powered by Care series discussing how her team is protecting patients and employees, and how her hospital continues to serve and care for people in the community.
“We are the next step in the recovery process from COVID-19 in our medical community,” said Yates. “These patients, as well as other patients with significant injuries or debilitation, need the excellent inpatient rehabilitation care that we offer to manage their medical needs while providing intense therapy.”
Yates joined Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in January of 2019 as the chief nursing officer. She has 25 years of nursing experience throughout the healthcare continuum in clinical, as well as management positions.
