Encompass Health Corp. hosted a grand opening celebration Jan. 8, for its new, freestanding rehabilitation hospital in Murrieta at 35470 Whitewood Road. Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta is expecting to welcome its first patients this month.
In addition to hospital tours and technology demonstrations, the grand opening included a ribbon cutting and presentation. Remarks were delivered by Perry Ebeltoft, Chief Executive Officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta; Dr. Nicole Hanrahan, Medical Director of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta, Murrieta Mayor Gene Wunderlich; and Mark Tarr, President & CEO of Encompass Health Corp.
“We are excited to welcome our first patients into our hospital to help them discover new possibilities and find the confidence to move past their illnesses or injuries,” said Ebeltoft. “With this state-of-the-art hospital and the work of our talented team, we are well positioned to make a great impact in the lives of people in this community.”
Encompass Health Murrieta boasts 50 private patient rooms, two spacious therapy gyms with advanced technologies, an in-house pharmacy, courtyard, dining room and dayroom areas. The hospital’s focus is providing inpatient rehabilitation services and higher medical management for patients recovering from strokes and other neurological disorders, hip fractures, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions.
